We are delighted to have Chef, John Wilson and his wife Sue provide fresh and appetizing meals to members and visitors.

A little history………

Welcome to the original home of the Red Onion Jazz Band!

Every weekend in pre-Beatles Days the onions would pack houses in their own venue The Onion Patch, right here at The Oakleigh Carnegie RSL.

Band member Gerry Humphries went on to be the lead singer in very successful 60’s band, The Loved Ones.

This little RSL building has re-visited that history and has again become a leading suburban live music venue.

From Wednesday to Saturday evening, John and Sue invite you to relax in warm and inviting bistro area where you can enjoy quality meals to suit all taste from vegetarians to meat lovers.

It is John and Sue’s intention to enhance the musical experience by providing good quality food that represents real value for money.

You cannot go past John’s beer battered fish and chips.

Check out their reviews on Urbanspoon or better still, you are welcome to visit Onion Patch Bistro at Oakleigh Carnegie RSL and discover for yourself a welcoming family atmosphere.

All visitors are welcome at the Oakleigh Carnegie RSL to enjoy a drink in our members bar or newly renovated beer garden.  Take a look at our new wine list that features wines from across Australia.

For all booking and inquiries please contact Sue on : 0457 000 058.
